♤ Throughout his entire life, he was made to believe that he was evil. Incapable of feelings. No conscious. No understanding of mercy or compassion. Until he met you. He’s left motionless at your profession of love for him. If he was maskless, you would’ve been able to see his widen a significant amount. He doesn’t know how to respond.
♤ He’s never been loved because he was “him.” The only people who cared for him were his parents, but they stopped coming to visit him when he was around eight years old. He distanced himself from people a lot more than usual after that. It was by pure coincidence that he could come across someone as pure as you. It had to be. He wasn’t even supposed to have you, yet, he does.
♤ Michael is a bit rigid afterwards, though. He’s somewhat flattered at your confession and somewhat embarrassed. Again, if you were to take off his mask, you’d still an evident blush on his cheeks. He’s never been in a position where someone has viewed him romantically ever. He’s always been feared upon. It’s so strange to be viewed different.
♤ Michael will pat and/or rub your head in a form of appreciation. Since he’s unable to say anything, he wants to let you know that your commitment towards him did not go to waste, so he’ll show you in the best way he knows how. To him, it feels almost forbidden to be loved, yet so good.
Freddy Krueger
♤ Freddy’s usually a tough cookie to crack. This man has some serious thick skin. Not a lot of things shock him, at least not anymore, but your “love-felt” outburst almost made him sick. And no, not the kind of “I’m going to throw up sick”, but the kind that delves into the side that’s emotionally attached to you. The side that he tried to prevent with all his might, but let it show more than he liked to admit.
♤ Just to cover up his shock, he’ll act cool and nonchalant about it. He’ll get real cocky and conceited about it. “Of course you do, Doll.” He’ll make a couple of jokes about you being wrapped around his finger and instantly change the subject. It’s not that he didn’t feel the same for you, but he didn’t like feeling all mushy and soft for a human girl. If the demons/pawns of hell found out about his fondness of you, he’d be the laughing stock of hell, and he can’t take that risk.
♤ He threw away his human emotions and morals (as if he had any) when he became a dream demon. Hell, he didn’t even flinch when his daughter told him that she hated him. He has little to no feelings left for anyone or anything. At least, that’s what he tells himself. He tried with all his might to irrationalize any feelings he had towards you, but deep down, he knew that it was something more. Something out of his hands, that he for once could not control.
♤ He’s not entirely heartless, though. Unfortunately for him, you make the man feel human. He won’t entirely turn into a sap for you, but he’ll be slightly more gentle with you. His words won’t be as harsh, and although he does give you snarky remarks from time to time, they’re meant with more adoration this time around.
Brahms Heelshire
♤ Brahms will cry tears of joy at your confession. He hasn’t been told that anyone loves him in years. After the fire and the killing of Emily, his parents started treating him differently. So different that they couldn’t stand the sight of him, but longed for a “perfect child” that they’d prefer a doll rather than their own son.
♤ Unlike his parents, he knows that your love is unconditional. You didn’t leave him once he saw how burnt his skin was after he showed you his face without his mask. He knew that you were different from all of his other nannies. There was something that separated you from them. Something that made you stick out from the rest. He spent months pondering about what made you so unique, but now, he’s figured it out.
♤ Brahms will tell you that he loves back, almost immediately. He loves you more than he understands and he can’t bare the thought of you leaving him. You’ve triggered an extremely vulnerable side of him, and now you have to deal with the repercussions.
♤ He’ll hold onto you tightly, like you’re going to disappear if he lets you go. God, he loved you. He was going to cherish you until the end of time. He’s never had a nanny care for him the way that you do. At this point, he can’t let you go. He can’t possibly function without you. You’re all he has left.
